Extras needed for Fashion Show at the FFF

I just got back from seeing the Paris fashion show exhibit at the MFA and
the new model look is zombie! Here is an example of Dior

I so love John Galliano!

Pretty much all of the models had big black eyes and a slightly strung out
on heroin look this year.

I want to do a zombie fashion runway set for the Fashion Show that TNG is
running. Anyone want to dress like zombies in evening dresses and feather
boas and shamble down the runway? Bonus points for dropped appeandages and screaming "BRAINS"

I don't have time to make anything but there is always the Garment District.

This is going to be a big comic act in the middle set to Michael Jackson's
Thriller.

Do you have time to put together an outfit? The makeup can be more smear and blacken the eyes kind of thing.

i have an evening dress in my closet - it wouldn't be something i'd made, though. also i don't have a feather boa.

I have boas, not that I'm a drag queen or anything *smirk*

(i have time to buy a feather boa, though. i don't, however, have time to make another outfit - still not done with the skirt i'm working on for one of the two outfits i'm doing)

No need to make anything for the comedy routine. I'm thinking that It would be cool to have someone round up all of the zombies using toys from the vendors.

I'd love to, though I'll warn you I'm rather pants at makeup (and walking in heels) and haven't ever been to the Flea.

Is there any theme other than zombies?

Do you have anything you have made and would want to show off? I can get you sceney accessories that can make any Victorian/Edwardian outfit into a cane wielding domme :)

If you are going to be a zombie the makeup is more smearing and blacking the eyes and you can go shoeless with a stagger and a limp, BRAINS!

I'm not that much of a seamstress myself-- mostly I just help out on clothes for me...

You've seen my victorian outfit (usually worn with a different blouse)... which could go into a schoolteacher/Mina Harker kind of look if accesorized. Edwardian is possible, but I'd have to track down where it is. The crowning glory of my costumes is pretty far off Victorian-- the blue one on this page, but in bright electric blue, with different sleeves and a black/navy belt. (I don't have pictures on hand, alas.)

Hum. Shall have to ponder this.

Doesn't have to be in any period, just needs to have some kinky accessories!

Mmmm. Well, then, if I may, I'll offer you an electric blue medievalist. (It has a black velvet surcoat, but that makes it very heavy and harder to walk in...)

Maybe we could do a rope overdress.

Oooooooooooh. That'd be neat. The whole dress, or just the bodice? (And would you style it like a surcoat, with big arm-holes and so forth, or ... I'm not sure what the comparison is, but not with big armholes and everything?)

Probably go with a tight fitting rope harness on top and then have big loops hang down from the bottom over the skirt.

Go over to Rainbow Rope (NSFW) and take a look at the colors and see if something looks good. I may be able to get them to donate some.

I can send you pictures when I get home, but my impulse is to say black -- I'm trying to think of a way to describe the dress, and the best I can give you is very very bright electric blue and slightly shiny. I usually wear it with black, navy, or silver (dark or bright), so my bias is for those colors-- it's hard to imagine it with anything else.

Of these colors, black and navy will contrast very well, royal would probably show up but less contrasty, aqua would be pretty much exactly the same color, and sky is pretty close. Purple would be all right. I'm going to nix all the greens and pinks-- pinks with this blue will look candyish, and the greens will look like summer-camp signage... White, silver, or "gunmetal" would probably be all right (or maybe lilac), but my general preference is for darker colors. Something lacy/snowflakey/more intricate would probably look nice with a lighter color...

I so love John Galliano!

Ditto!

I described that collection to someone as post-apocalyptic-medieval-industrial-goth-zombie chic.

I thought that you already said that you could do it, that must have been Jess that told me. It's Jan 26th 7-9pm at the Flea. I will send out an email for everyone. I would love to have you in the show!

Do you have anything that you want to show off that you have done? It doesn't have to be exactly scene related, but if there can be scene related accessories it would be great. If you want to wear something from RadianceBound let me know and I'll have Vivi bring it.
